Dr. Bivona completed his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Following graduation, he completed a one-year internship through Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA before going on to complete a rigorous ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY. During his final year of residency, Dr. Bivona served as chief resident. Immediately following residency, he completed additional fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at the prestigious Weill Cornell Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY.
Dr. Bivona’s extensive training and expertise enables him to specialize in a wide variety of medical and surgical treatments. He offers treatment for a diverse range of ophthalmic conditions, including cataracts, refractive error, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye/ocular surface disease. He has a strong interest in staying up to date with the latest trends and technology in cataract and refractive surgery in order to provide the best care and most optimal results for his patients.
