Shilpa Desai, MD specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. Dr. Desai received her undergraduate degree at MIT. She graduated from Harvard Medical School and went on to complete her residency at the University of California San Francisco. She completed a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at New England Eye Center/Tufts Medical Center.
Dr. Desai is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. She is available for consultation in all areas of medical and surgical vitreoretinal diseases, including macular degeneration, vitreomacular disorders, retinal detachment, ocular trauma, cataract complications, diabetic retinopathy, posterior segment uveitis and retinal vascular disorders.
Dr. Desai is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has office hours in our Wakefield and Winchester offices.
